Photographers Harun Mehmedinovic and Gavin Heffernan are the authors of the Skyglow project, in collaboration with the International Dark Sky Association. The main objective of this project is to show us what the Los Angeles sky would be like without the current light pollution. The result is surprising and spectacular!!!
Current environmental and light pollution prevents us from seeing the sky in all its intensity.
To carry it out, Gavi and Harun have used Photoshop, six Canon 6D and 5D Mark III cameras and light sensors for long exposure photography and time-lapse videos.
The photographs were taken at 24 frames per second and required 240 photos for every ten seconds of video.
